It has come to our attention that we have been getting far too many fetishy and nude kind of art submitted here lately. Our group's original sole purpose is to promote the best of the best Anthro-reptile type art out there. Our gallery should have things that are more user friendly, especially for those new to the fandom.

In short we will no longer be accepting explicit, nude or fetish type images. There will be a strict policy we will start enforcing for Mature images. The Mature images we will most likely only accept now is stuff involving blood and gore - but to a certain extent of course.

We will be in the process of removing such images from the gallery during the course of this week. I apologize if this change in rule has caused any sort of inconvenience for anyone. You are welcome to leave and seek art elsewhere if that's the case.

If you have any questions pertaining to whether or not your piece may be acceptable here you are welcome to ask us by noting the group with a link to the piece. Do not send a note to an admin's regular account please as group materials and discussions should remain here for all mods to review and decide.

Thank you :rose:

Thank you! I greatly appreciate the concern towards those of us who would rather not see that type of material, even in the thumbnails that show up in our messages, since not all the ones we'd rather not see are given a mature rating.
Again, thanks!

The thing is when people hear 'anthro' a vast majority of their minds jump in the gutter - and that's just not the case in most cases, you know?

I think this move will help point that out ;P

I'm assuming that "nude" means actually showing breasts, nipples and other genitalia? Clotheless reptiles showing no naughty bits are still OK, right?

If the exposed boobs have no nipples on them, I still have to count that as nude. Boobs are boobs. As for cloth-less reptiles I'd still count that as nude. However I'd have to as the others how they feel about that and what they think about it first.

I favor this move. It's a great plan to keep the group open and friendly to all kinds of people.

As a recent watcher, I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing a ton of my favorite artistic subjects. However, I'd personally prefer you be more strict in your editorial process across the board rather than focus on editing a certain form of expression. Maybe I haven't been around long enough to see the regularity of the mentioned artwork, but nothing I've seen has seemed too overboard or too overwhelming. That being said, maybe I am also in the minority in thinking that I'd much rather be subject to seeing tasteful nude artwork in my message center than excessive blood or gore. Whatever the case may be, I figured I'd add my voice to the mix, if it matters any.

I know how much of a pain it can be managing a group here on DA, having to strike a balance between all the different opinions out there, not to mention having to listen and respond to potentially misguided user feedback. ;p Thanks for all that you guys do!

I can respect your opinion. However we have to consider that some members here may be a younger audience so I'd rather not create an environment exposing that to them. If anything they're are plently of other areas and resources for that sort of material. Some of them may be more interested the concepts and designs of a certain reptillian species rather than the lather.

As for the blood and gore we don't plan on accepting something extreme like someone's guts spread out all over the floor. I'd rather not see that either! We barely get any gore kinds of works submitted here and we'll review those kinds of submissions beforehand and determine whether or not it's appropriate as well. I'm just pointing out that will most likely be the only somewhat mature thing to be accepted here.

We're not trying to discriminate and favor certain things over the other but rather make this group a place that anyone could look at and appreciate for it's artistic-ness rather than being a breeding ground for distasteful material.

'Tis a good idea; I've been trying to clean up my group myself.
I WAS wondering if this drawing of mine would be one to get the boot: [link]

Yes unfortunately a piece like that is too suggestive and explicit for us to accept now (even though there's actually no real nudity, the only thing separating it is her hands cupped to her chest) and may be found inappropriate to look at by others. Sorry. I appreciate you asking first about it though. You are welcome to look at our affiliates list and find better candidates for it though!

No, no need to be sorry :D I actually quite like the change;I hardly ever draw stuff that suggestive anyway.
Thanks for explaining!

I might have asked this already but if an admin position opens up here please let me know! I want to help out somewhere but, alas, no one wants me. :tears:
